Data Scientist, Jr/Mid-Level | India (Remote)

We are seeking Data Scientists both Junior and mid-level with 1-5 years of experience and a strong background in Python to join our team. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing statistical models, developing algorithms, and analyzing large datasets to extract insights and drive data-driven decision making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data engineers, and other data scientists to develop and deploy data science solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms for data analysis, prediction, and optimization
• Analyze large datasets using Python and other data analysis tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into data science solutions
• Evaluate and validate models’ performance using appropriate evaluation metrics and techniques
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and data pre-processing workflows to ensure data quality and integrity
• Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner through visualizations, reports, and presentations
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning technologies and techniques and apply them to real-world business problems
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate data science models into production systems and ensure their scalability and performance

To be successful you will have the following skills and attributes

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
• 1-5 years of relevant work experience in data science or related roles
• Strong programming skills in Python, including proficiency in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-Learn
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms, including linear regression, decision trees, random forests, and neural networks
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly
• Knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with large and complex datasets
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Familiarity with data visualization and dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js is a plus
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases is a plus
