  • from publicly available sources, such as company websites and social media platforms; and/or
  • from third-party data providers, such as data brokers.

2. Use of information

We use your data for the following purposes:

  • to provide our Services to Clients. Our core service is providing business information and business contact details to entities who wish to market their services. A key part of the service is our platform’s ability to filter contacts effectively by sector and role;
  • to communicate with Clients about our Services and promotions;

  • to comply with legal and regulatory requirements;
  • in any investigation or legal proceedings concerning you or your data;
  • for internal research and development purposes; and
  • to personalise your experience and customise the Services.

3. Storage and protection of information

We store personal and business information securely in accordance with industry best practices. We are committed to keeping your information secure from unauthorised access or disclosure. We will take all reasonable precautions to prevent it. This includes:

  • using secure servers and encryption to protect data;

By providing personal information to us, you agree to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and any other arrangements that apply between us.

Prospects

We may disclose the personal and business information to our Clients as part of our Services. Our Clients can use our Services to find business prospects that are relevant to them and then transfer your business contact details to their own systems for use in their own marketing to you.

Our Clients are then directly responsible to you for their lawful use of your data.

Clients and Prospects

We may use third parties to help us provide our Services to you, and this may include the following transfers of personal information:

  • to service providers, subcontractors and third party suppliers who assist us in providing our Services to you;
  • to business partners who offer complementary services or products; and
  • other third parties with your consent or as required by law.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that our service providers and business partners are obligated to protect your information.

Even though Firmable is an Australian based business, due to the nature our global business and technologies required, the information collected may be transferred to parties located outside Australia, including our Indian team for support and maintenance purposes. We ensure that any exports of data outside of Australia are protected to the same standard required in Australia.

5. Access to and correction of information

You have the right to access and correct your personal and business information held by us. If you wish to access or correct your information, please contact us using the details below.

You have the right to ask to not sell your personal information to third parties (objection right), and to ask us to delete your data. We will keep some of your data one-way hashed (so we cannot read it), so that if we collect your data again we know not to use it.

We will action all requests in a reasonable period of time.
