Data Engineer | India (Remote)

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines, transforming and processing data, and managing data storage solutions. The candidate should also have a good understanding of Spark, Python, Cloud (AWS/Azure), and SQL.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines that will be used for data processing and analytics
• Build and optimize data storage solutions for large-scale data processing and analysis
• Write efficient and maintainable code in Python and Spark
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and requirements
• Work with data architects to implement data models and design data solutions
• Implement ETL processes to transform and cleanse data to ensure data quality and accuracy
• Maintain and optimize data processing systems to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance
• Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Implement and maintain security and access controls to protect sensitive data

To be successful you will have the following skills and attributes

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• 2-4 years of experience in a similar role as a Data Engineer
• Proficiency in Spark and Python programming languages
• Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and related services
• Solid understanding of SQL and database technologies
• Knowledge of data modelling and database design principles
• Experience with ETL processes, data integration, and data transformation
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
